Mosaic Steel Orchestra is excited to participate in Slover Library’s Black History Celebration, a community-wide event honoring African American history, culture, and achievements.

This year’s theme, “Honor the Past, Inspire the Future: A Norfolk Community Celebration,” highlights the importance of celebrating our cultural heritage while inspiring future generations.

Through the vibrant sounds of steelpan music, the Orchestra will share a musical tradition rooted in Caribbean history and African cultural influences, celebrating the power of music to connect communities, preserve traditions, and inspire creativity.

This family-friendly celebration is open to all ages and brings the Norfolk community together for a day of cultural appreciation, education, and inspiration.
